Daniel McCabe

Dan is the General Manager Cinema Operations - Australia at EVT Limited, a top 200 ASX listed company with operations across Entertainment, Ventures and Travel. EVT Limited has an Entertainment team of over 3,000+ and has an annual turnover of ~$1Bn with a market cap of ~$2Bn. Dan is a respected senior executive with over 28 years of experience in the Entertainment industry. He currently oversees Operations in the largest cinema chain in Australia - Event Cinemas, including their Film & Content and Food & Beverage departments.

Commencing his career with the EVT Group at Birch Carrol & Coyle Lismore, Dan began his journey as a 14 year old general cinema worker, moving his way up across the years into senior management positions including Area General Manager and State Manager for Queensland, the Northern Territory and Northern NSW. These roles included Operational, Revenue and Financial Responsibility, Overall Leadership and Team Management, Sales & Promotions and Strategic Planning.

Dan has a great passion for business transformation, people and the community, part of this passion includes an unwavering focus on elevating the customer experience. With strong ties to his local community and the cinema industry, Dan has served on community boards including North Coast Tourism and Lismore Business Promotional Panel along with the Motion Picture Industry Benevolent Society (MPIBS) council.

Outside of Dan’s passion for Cinema, Dan enjoys quality time with his wife and 2 boys (8 & 10 years) living in the beautiful Byron Bay Hinterland in Northern NSW. Dan is also an active member of the Australian Macadamia Industry and spends his spare time overseeing his 106 acre Macadamia farm which produces over 50,000kg of Macadamias a year which are sold and exported throughout the world via the biggest farmer owned Macadamia Cooperative in the world, Marquis Macadamias.
